Cora’s Operating Method
CORA’S OPERATING METHOD
CORA focuses on Integrated Sustainable Rural Development with the aim of alleviating poverty, suffering and oppression by helping rural people build secure, productive and healthier livelihoods without compromising the chances of future generations.
CORA believes that these endeavours will go a long way to complement the UNs’ efforts in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Growth and Employment Strategy Paper and the Cameroon Government’s Vision of an Emerging Economy by 2035. To achieve these goals, CORA focuses on Integrated Sustainable Rural Development under the following major fields:
- Rural Council Support
- Health
- Education
- Water and Sanitation
- Women Empowerment
- Protection of the Girl Child
- Agriculture
- Social Welfare
- Environmental Protection
- Volunteerism and Internship
CORA’s approach is participatory and holistic. We works with the target population/communities so that they can gain full ownership of the projects and also build their capacities for further development activities within their communities.
CORA is apolitical and works everywhere regardless of religion, tribe gender, age, sex, ethnic origin or ability.
At CORA, we do not see colour, religion or gender; we see human beings- we see humanity.. and to us, that is all that matters.
