WHERE WE WORK
CORA with its base in rural Jakiri works with marginalized and vulnerable people in Jakiri, and other rural communities in Cameroon. Jakiri is one of the poorest and most densely populated areas in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
STORY ABOUT US
CARE ORGANISATION FOR RURAL ASSISTANCE, CORA Cameroon saw the light of day in 2009 through the initiative of Mr. Wirba Joseph Mbiydzenyuy, a teacher by profession, who through life experiences discovered that no matter how poor one claims to be, there are much more desperate people than him. He therefore came up with the idea of a charity where he believes that in giving even a franc to a desperate person, you are changing his life.
He has for so many years funded the organization from his private funds as he we, taught by his mother, Mama Martha Dufe who believed that “you do something for God each time you reach out and do the little things that improve the lives of the poor and down-trodden… those who have little or no chances in life”….
